Welcome!
we’re so glad you’re here.
Let’s lift up our voices in song and get into God’s Word together.
Grace alone
I was an orphan lost at the fall
Running away when I'd hear you call
But Father you worked your will
I had no righteousness of my own
I had no right to draw near your throne
But Father you loved me still
And in love before you laid the world's foundation
You predestined to adopt me as your own
You have raised me up so high above my station
I'm a child of God by grace and grace alone
You left your home to seek out the lost
You knew the great and terrible cost
But Jesus your face was set
I worked my fingers down to the bone
But nothing I did could ever atone
But Jesus you paid my debt
By Your blood I have redemption and salvation
Lord you died that I might reap what you have sown
And you rose that I might be a new creation
I am born again by grace and grace alone
I was in darkness all of my life
I never knew the day from the night
But Spirit you made me see
I swore I knew the way on my own
Head full of rocks a heart made of stone
But Spirit you moved in me
And at your touch my sleeping spirit was awakened
On my darkened heart the light of Christ has shone
Called into a kingdom that cannot be shaken
Heaven's citizen by grace and grace alone
So I'll stand in faith by grace and grace alone
I will run the race by grace and grace alone
I will slay my sin by grace and grace alone
I will reach the end by grace and grace alone
Yes he lives
On a hill for sinners His body broken
A King forsaken as He hung on that cross
The veil in pieces the temple shaken
They mourned the Saviour but it wasn’t for long
Oh He lives He’s risen from the grave
Victorious our Saviour reigns oh yes He reigns
He rose the stone is rolled away
Forever our Redeemer lives oh yes He lives
There in the silence it wasn’t over
Oh our Redeemer was getting ready to rise
And on that morning they came to find Him
That tomb was empty 'cause He is alive
That tomb was empty 'cause He is alive
(Jesus) Christ crucified
Through His death there is life
By the blood of the Lamb
We have been forgiven
Our debt has been paid
There is grace upon grace
Only one name that saves
And His name is Jesus
Our assurance
We have a hope to which we cling
When doubt and darkness overcome
When every thought in us condemns
And every comfort comes undone
For our assurance doesn’t rest
In any righteous work we’ve done
But in our God who loved the world
And gave His one and only Son
(REPEAT)
O Praise the one who saved us
O Praise the Risen King
Praise the Father Son and Spirit
Our assurance is in Him
We have a hope that was secured
There is no ransom left to pay
The precious blood of Christ enough
To cover every sin and shame
It is by grace we have been saved
Our risen life is bound with His
Now reconciled we can draw near
As sons and daughters of the King
We have a hope that will not fail
He will sustain us through the storms
To run the race until that day
He calls His children to come home
Then our assurance will be proved
When faith is overcome by sight
When we behold Him face to face
And know forever His delight
For our assurance doesn’t rest
In any righteous work we’ve done
But in our God who loved the world
And gave His one and only Son

Reading
Isaiah 5:1-7
I will sing about the one I love,
a song about my loved one’s vineyard:
The one I love had a vineyard
on a very fertile hill.
2 He broke up the soil, cleared it of stones,
and planted it with the finest vines.
He built a tower in the middle of it
and even dug out a winepress there.
He expected it to yield good grapes,
but it yielded worthless grapes.
3 So now, residents of Jerusalem
and men of Judah,
please judge between me
and my vineyard.
4 What more could I have done for my vineyard
than I did?
Why, when I expected a yield of good grapes,
did it yield worthless grapes?
5 Now I will tell you
what I am about to do to my vineyard:
I will remove its hedge,
and it will be consumed;
I will tear down its wall,
and it will be trampled.
6 I will make it a wasteland.
It will not be pruned or weeded;
thorns and briers will grow up.
I will also give orders to the clouds
that rain should not fall on it.
7 For the vineyard of the Lord of Armies
is the house of Israel,
and the men[a] of Judah,
the plant he delighted in.
He expected justice
but saw injustice;
he expected righteousness
but heard cries of despair.
Luke 20:9-19
9 Now he began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, leased it to tenant farmers, and went away for a long time. 10 At harvest time he sent a servant to the farmers so that they might give him some fruit from the vineyard. But the farmers beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 11 He sent yet another servant, but they beat that one too, treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed. 12 And he sent yet a third, but they wounded this one too and threw him out.
13 “Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What should I do? I will send my beloved son. Perhaps they will respect him.’
14 “But when the tenant farmers saw him, they discussed it among themselves and said, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him, so that the inheritance will be ours.’ 15 So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
“What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? 16 He will come and kill those farmers and give the vineyard to others.”
But when they heard this they said, “That must never happen!”
17 But he looked at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of this Scripture:
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone?
18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and on whomever it falls, it will shatter him.”
19 Then the scribes and the chief priests looked for a way to get their hands on him that very hour, because they knew he had told this parable against them, but they feared the people.
Sermon
Cornerstone
Verse 1
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus' Name
Christ alone cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Saviour's love
Through the storm He is Lord
Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil
When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless stand before the throne
That’s a wrap!
Thanks for joining us today.
