Pastor – Chris Ekins
Chris is married to Sharon, and they have a little boy called Caleb and little girl called Hannah. Chris loves Jesus, teaching the Bible, fishing and soccer. He catches as many fish as he scores goals…he is a fullback.
Chris finished his Bachelor of Theology at Moore Theological College in 1996. He served on the staff of St Faith’s Anglican Church at Narrabeen from 1996-2008.
In Feb 2009 he and his family moved to Forster with 5 other mates to start CoastEC.
His passion is to see people come to know Jesus and see them grow in their love for him as they study God’s Word. His vision is to start several more churches on the Mid-North Coast of NSW.
Ministry Apprentice – Alicia Barnes
Alicia started her Ministry Apprenticeship (with MTS – www.mts.com.au) in February 2009. Her training will go for 2 years full time, and Alicia will be trained by Chris in various areas of ministry. She currently teaches two really cool year 2 scripture classes, coordinates youth ministry with her husband, runs the PA at church and oversees the administration of COAST EC…plus much more!
Alicia (A.K.A Leesh) loves riding motorbikes, playing soccer and vegging out in front of a DVD with a block of chocolate. She’s pumped about being part of this church and can’t wait to share the great news of Jesus with youth and her peers.
